Malampuzha is a tourist spot in Palakkad district of Kerala. Malampuzha, a little township on the foothills of the Western Ghats, is located 10 km from Palakkad town. Apart from Dam, amusement park existing at Malampuzha, the star of course is the Ropeway, South India's first and the only Passenger Ropeway of its kind.
Flying over the garden at a height of 60 ft., providing the best panoramic view of the beautiful landscapes protected by the mammoth Dam, unique by nature, extremely safe and economical too, the twenty minutes sky-ride on Malampuzha Ropeway provides an unforgettable experience. It was commissioned in the year 1991. With a travel length of 626 meters the Rope Way Bridge that connects the two sides of the park.
It takes visitors on an aerial tour of the park, and the gigantic Yakshi (an enchantress) sculptured by Kanai Kunhiraman, a renowned sculptor of Kerala. The ropeway gives an amazing view of the whole park. It travels above the dams downstream. You could see the water flowing through.
