  • Located at the top Neel Parvat Haridwar, Chandi Devi temple is one of the most ancient temples of Northern India. Ropeway constructed and operated by Udan Khatola provides great service by facilitating safe and time-saving transportation to the hill-top shrine.

     

    While the upward trek takes over an hour from the foothill to the hilltop, the Ropeway ride takes just five minutes to reach the shrine. Chandi Devi temple is also famous as the Neel Parvat Teerth. A sacred pilgrimage that attracts devotees from all around the globe. Here devotees visit in large numbers throughout the year. The ropeway offers an exhilarating experience as it carries you to the temple.

     

    Maa Chandidevi Ropeway is a modern ropeway of its kind in South Asia. The pilgrims can reach both the temples located on the hilltop by the ropeway in around 5 minutes, while the steep climb by steps takes over One hour. It is operational since 1997.

     

    The temple is Set on the Neel Parvat of the Shivalik Hills, the religious site was constructed by Suchat Singh in 1929 during his rule as the King of Kashmir. However, the idol of Chandi Devi at the temple is said to have been founded in the eighth century by Adi Shankaracharya, one of the top priests of the Hindu religion.
