The Taratarini Hill Shrine is one of the oldest pilgrimage centers of the Mother Goddess and is one of four Adi Shakti Peethas in India. The Tara Tarini temple is located on the Kumari hills along the bank of Rushikulya near Brahmapur city in Ganjam District, Odisha, India.
To develop Tara Tarini Pilgrimage, a passenger Ropeway on the mountain of Kumari hills has been installed by Udan Khatola, so that more and more pilgrims can visit and enjoy the beauty and holiness of the Kumari Hill with ease and joy.
The ropeway covers total travel length of 333 meters and has a vertical rise of 149 meters. From the foothill, you can take the ropeway to reach the temple top within 5 minutes. You will get an excellent view of river Rusukulya and the greenery around in the cable car ride.
